Alice Laura Palmer

Painting is an intrinsically human process, a function of understanding the external, floating world through the filters of nature- the eye, the mind, and the hand. No painting can be divorced entirely from the human, and this fact forms the basis of Alice’s work.

Alice explores the visual language of classical academic art training and its transposition to the contemporary art spaces and immersive gallery experiences, hybridising visual languages wherever possible to explore the tensions in between knowledge sources.

She has pursued a high level of technical training through her education at the Florence Academy of Art, and is engaged in the development of cohesive, concept driven creative projects.

As an educator she is passionate about providing a comprehensive understanding for any level of art practice and theory.
